How to find us

We are fortunate enough to have 3 main ways of travel from the UK. All have pros and cons.

TRAIN:
We are located around 30 minutes from Bourg St Maurice train station. Amazing service with the eurostar direct from London on Saturdays. If not using the direct service, it is possible to take a train to Paris, then take a train from Paris to Bourg. Please contact us and confirm train times prior to booking tickets to ensure we are able to collect you.

FLYING:
Geneva used to be our main airport, but due to huge regular delays over the last few years, we are requesting our guests use Grenoble, Lyon and Chambery (if they wish to use our transfer service – please see conditions below).
In the perfect world, every flight would arrive around 11am and every flight would depart at midday or slightly after. This allows us to get to the airport around 9-10am, so you can check in leisurely for your midday flight and we can collect the new guests arriving around 11am. We try to be flexible but need lots of planning to work around different flight times that do not fit in with these times – these have to be confirmed by Morealps via email at least 60 DAYS before departure date. If we are awaiting for multiple flights and one is delayed, we might have to wait for that flight if we can’t arrange alternative transfers, (as you would like us to wait for you if your plane was delayed). Communication is important – talk to us about your flight options and let us know about any delays on the day.  We will only wait for up to 60 minutes after your agreed flight time without written, (email or text) communication regarding delays.  In case of re-diversion to alternative airports due to bad weather etc, we will not be able to drive to other airports to meet you unless agreed with management at a minimum cost of £200.  We operate a busy schedule and every hour is important, especially at the weekends.  Thank you for your understanding.

DRIVING:
Around 590 miles from Calais. Allow 9 hours for driving, more if you stop frequently.

DO NOT have total faith in your Sat Nav and DO NOT type in La Rosiere. There are two villages with the same name and it will try and take you via the mountain road that is closed in the Winter.
Our best advice, (tried and tested many times), is to go via Lyon, then onto Bourg St Maurice via Albertville. Travel through Bourg until you see the roundabout with a sign saying “La Rosiere de Montvalezan”. From here you will see signs for La Rosiere and Val D’Isere. If we can save one person an extra 5 hours driving by highlighting the Sat Nav/ closed mountain road issue, then we have done our job! If you have any doubts or questions while you are travelling, our UK mobile (0796 759 0406) is always in Dan’s pocket or glued to his ear!

Please bear in mind that the last 30 minutes is climbing up mountain roads that may require snow chains. Practice putting your chains on in the UK – this is time well spent. If you are inexperienced, do not drive if you are too tired from the journey and it is bucketing down with snow – do not be a hero! Simply ask us and we will help you find a hotel in the valley, have a good nights sleep and then drive up at 7 or 8 the following morning, when everything feels easier and less stressful. You can still be on the slopes by 9am and you won’t have spent an hour wrestling with snow chains in the dark! This is only our advice, but we do bring it to your attention…all information has been slowly gained after seeing many things happen over the last 15 seasons.
