Breakfast in France, lunch in Italy, then back to France for another amazing meal — your week will be packed with unforgettable experiences.

Blessed with authentic charm, chocolate box chalets and none of the ugly high rise blocks you have probably seen in some resorts, La Rosiere is truly individual and has a friendly, “working village” feel to it.

The wide, uncrowded pistes are great for mastering your technique and building your confidence — from your first turns with English speaking instructors to heli skiing and plentiful off piste in Italy, your technique will progress as rapidly as your suntan!

We operate 5 catered chalets in La Rosiere

Regularly in the top 5 resorts in France for snow cover and offering some of the best value holidays in the tarentaise valley, La Rosiere gives every type of holiday maker plenty of mountain for their money. In the past, La Rosiere has had a reputation for being perfect for families — this is still true, but it has really grown up in the last few years with large developments including a bowling alley, ice rink, nightclub, Danish bar, British bar and plenty of cafes and designer shops. From young groups of singles to families with grandparents and grandchildren, we guarantee that La Rosiere is the perfect destination.

La Rosiere Ski School & Ski Lessons

For ski lessons we are happy work with the La Rosiere ESF with their fantastic ski school and English speaking instructors. Just let us know what lessons you would like, and we will book them for you, or alternatively link to their site and book online. The ESF also run an English speaking creche facility; Les Galopins. This takes children from the age of 16 months – 12 years, allowing you some free time to enjoy the mountain.

Sunny and South facing, La Rosiere is twinned with La Thuile, Italy. Situated 5 miles (as the crow flies) from Mont-Blanc means we get isolated weather systems, and at 1850 metres, we have an incredible snow record over the years to show for it. The ski area of L’espace San Bernardo has something for everyone with 150km of piste and 37 lifts.

Going heli-skiing or heli-boarding on the Italian side of the mountains, (It is still illegal in France), is just one of the many advantages of staying in La Rosiere. Our guests also have the opportunity to try one of the most exciting sports with a new snowkiting school, “Fly Mountains“.

The Mountain cuisine that both countries offer is more than just refuelling – It’s a unique memory in itself and an excellent excuse to try local specialities, and the Italian answer to an Irish coffee, la Bombardino!
